REVIEW BY PIETER HOLLAND FROM www.livefromrocknrollranch.com
We recently at www.livefromrocknrollranch.com had the opportunity to review the ROCKnROLL MUTI-CART. It ships well packed and gets there fast. It only took a couple of days. There is a minimal amount of assembly with wheels which is no biggy. The first thing I noticed is how the Cart is built. Heavy–Duty ! Yep this thing is built pretty well, BUT… Is not that heavy in weight so it’s easy to carry and store ! Wheels and tires are Heavy-Duty and can handle the job no problem. This cart we got for review handles 500 POUNDS…! We took it to a bunch of gigs, everything from a single performance to a ROCKnROLL Show with BIG Amps and put it thru it’s paces… believe me, this thing performed like a trooper…! It’s great for doing a single acoustic performance because you can bring all your gear in with one shot! I carry a Bose System and a few bags with wire’s and gear in them plus the bass bottoms for the Bose, a Guitar case, Mic stand… You know, a ton of gear and the ROCKnROLL CART handles it all in one shot.
As for my band, we have put 4X12 bottoms and a couple of heads and other Road cases piled on and the Cart can take it no problem at all. It’s easy to steer around corners and pushes with ease.
I got to say I love this thing. I wish I had one a long time ago… It really does the job hands down!!! Here is some info about the cart…

INTEX CABLE REVIEW
We get a lot of cables for review
but I must say we send most
of them back due to the old cliché
‘If you can’t say anything good…’
Bla, Bla, Bla you know what I mean.
Here, We have a review about the Intex Cable.
They are hand made and they use the best stuff that is made in the good ole U.S.A. to make them. They use military connectors that are built like a tank right down to the high quality Belden cable (8412)
They do not use compression or crimping to connect the connector to the cable but they weld the connector to the cable. Yep, you read it right. Weld the connector to the cable! This really does the job, I must say. Like I said before LIKE A TANK! Just recently I donated my P.A. and my time to do a benefit with 16 Bands in 10 Hours!! I brought my INTEX Cable and it was used for the whole concert as part of the back line for the Guitarist and Bass Players. I figured if I was going review this cable, this would be the do or die for it. It went thru insane stress all day, act after act, pull after pull, being dropped on the floor repeatedly, stepped on, stretched, pulled. I think you get the picture. After the show we were coiling cords to go in the anvil case and I took back my INTEX and wiped it off and gave it to my wife to take home for me. I figured if it paid it’s dues and came out unscathed after that concert it should do nicely being used in our recording studio where it will be used almost everyday and I will not have to worry about it working or not. I also must say these cables sound great! They sound very transparent with no compression. All in all these cables get a five out of five thumbs up…! Go get yourself one and see for yourself. You’re never going to need another cable. Go to their website;
RAVISH SITAR PEDAL
ELECTRO-HARMONIX RAVISH SITAR PEDAL Review
By Pieter Holland
I went to the Post Office and they had a package for me and I saw it was from Electro-Harmonix. Got home and opened it up to find a cool box inside With the name RAVISH on it… I opened it and found A very classy made pedal inside, I thought.. OK, it passed my first impression test… Packed great and looks great… Now lets see what this puppy can do… I went right to the studio to check it out. The Ravish has a ¼” instrument input and two ¼” outputs which are a Main out which put together the Dry, Lead and Sympathetic voices, and a Sympathetic Out which isolates only the Sympathetic signal. The Ravish has three independent level controls one for the dry sound, one for the lead voice and one for the Sympathetic strings. There are Timbre controls that are like filter controls
To put in more or less harmonics depending on which way you turn them… The Ravish lets you choose your own Sympathetic key by playing a scale on your guitar and saving it to a preset or by selecting keys and scales for the Sympathetic strings which include major, minor and a selection of cool exotic scales.
There are two Expression pedal inputs… one for Drone and One is for Pitch.. With these inputs and a pedal you can control the level of and freeze the Sympathetic strings or Drone, or bend the pitch of the Lead Voice up from one semitone to a full octave. Now that’s what I call one heck of a Pitch Shift…! The Ravish comes with ten factory presets and the user can make his own, recall and store up to ten of his own programs in those memory locations..
All in all this pedal kicks some serious butt…! It only took me a short time to make some great music and sounds with this Ravish..
It’s really simple to learn and you will be making Music in no time at all..! It’s Made In U.S.A. which is really great, and comes with a Standard 9.6-Volt/DC200mA AC Adapter.
The RAVISH SITAR PEDAL… In my book it gets
THUMBS UP…!!! BIG TIME…!
THE MIGHTY MOE
THE MIGHTY MOE
Now I know what you’re thinking, when you hear the words Amp Strap,
You’re thinking an amp built in a strap, or whatever, but that is exactly what this thing is. It is the most coolest thing that has come down the pike in a long time. With the brainchild of Peter Bellak, who spent the last three years perfecting this cool little item, let me tell you exactly what it is….It is a real leather guitar strap with an amp built in, that sounds pretty darn amazing, with a cable built into the guitar strap that goes from the amp to the guitar, it also has an earphone jack that cancels the speaker., it has great clear or overdrive tones, and comes with it‘s own tote bag. As they say you can use it for jamming’, performing, practicing, or traveling. I must say, this thing is fantastic. It’s powered by a 9 volt battery that lasts up to nine hours, works with pretty much every electric/acoustic guitar I can think of. This has got to be as stated, the worlds only amp strap. You can contact Peter at www.mightymoe.com The all-in-one amp-strap-cable got my thumbs up, this thing’s a winner. Oh, one more thing, it is available at Guitar Center, the people I trust for quality and service. If you need more help, contact us here at RocknRoll Ranch. Go get yours before they run out of stock, they are that cool. Thanks Pieter Bellak for coming up with a great idea. On the road, I will always be packing one of these.
PETERSON STROBO CLIP
BY: PIETER HOLLAND
Hello Everybody in Musicville! We are going to review
StroboClip (Clip-On-Strobe Tuner), the new clip-on
Tuner by Peterson.
Got a knock on the door today,
And it was my buddy Henry, from UPS who come’s
to my house almost everyday…!!!
He handed me a box that was very light,
I told him thanks, went inside and proceeded to open the box.
To my surprise, in the box was a really cool metal container
Containing the StroboClip encased in a brushed aluminum shell, and a nice sized readout. On the clip, are soft rubber pads, so there is no way to scratch your instrument’s finish, while having maximum grip for the StroboClip to provide a strong signal from guitar to tuner. Doing a quick scan of the owner’s manual, I quickly installed the battery, I couldn’t wait to see how this puppy would perform. I wasn’t really surprised after spending a short amount of time putting the StroboClip through it’s paces, that I found, that it was a breeze to use, and knew that it was accurate to 1/10 cent accuracy because I have been using Peterson Tuners my whole professional career and everything I have used by them is the best on the market. This thing also includes new Sweetened Tunings, plus Alternate Temperaments for a large variety of stringed and wind instruments. In other words this thing is the bomb !!! And from what I hear, the StroboClip is the first ever Multi-Temperament clip-on tuner ever available on the planet. So all in all, this Rascal’s pretty tough. It’s adjustable, Concert A Reference is 400 Hz to 490 Hz and that ain’t too shabby. It also has an auto sleep and power off for saving the battery life. I love this Virtual Strobe Patented Technology. This thing goes for around $70.00, and for that price, I think it can’t be beat, and worth every nickel.
To find out more about the StroboClip,
Go to www.petersontuners.com. So for all of you in Musicville,
Take Care, may your guitar strings never break,
And may you always be in tune.
LEE JACKSON-CRACK POTZ
Lee Jackson has done it again….!!!
We took a little time and installed a “Creamy Compressor”
Into one of our Strats….. It doesn’t take any time at all..!!
All’s I can say it is the coolest little piece of gear
I have ever experienced!!!
The guitar has more sustain and the word smooth comes to mind….
All’s I can say is get yourself one of these “Crack Potz”
and see for yourself…. You won’t be disappointed….!!!
On a scale of 1 to 5…. This gets a 10….!!!
Here we go… Here is one of the first gear reviews of many to come. This review is about the mic arms we use in the studio at our station. I’ll be honest… I was looking around for a good deal for mic arm booms and ran across a lot that just didn’t cut it, or they were way too expensive. A friend of mine told me about Q-mic.com and said go check them out… They will work for you and the price is right… (To say the least)
So, I sent for two of them to see what they where like… In a matter of 5 Min’s after we installed them I was on the computer ordering two more for the guest mics… These things are great…. I’m not going to go into a long detailed boring review but I will say this…. They are strong, Well built , The cable that came with it is high grade shielded cable that is really long… and at the price of cabling and connectors I can’t believe this comes with the setup ! It comes with many ways to set it up to fit your situation… We chose to screw ours down to the table with the mount that came with the setup. You have a few ways to mount the arm with all the parts that are included….. You will have parts left over when you complete your installation…
I could go on and on… Enough said…. IT’S A GREAT PIECE OF GEAR AND THE PRICE CAN’T BE BEAT…!!!!! ON A RATING OF ONE TO FIVE STARS IT GETS THE FULL FIVE STARS…..!!!!!! www.Q-mic.com
